No one was injured in all the destruction resulting from Saturday's greenhouse fire in St. Catharines, but the flames spread to four of five residential buildings that housed migrant workers.
Today we're learning those workers have lost nearly everything, and donations are being accepted at various drop-off locations around the region.
Temporary housing has been arranged for the 30-40 displaced workers, but relief organizers say the most urgently needed items include clothes (mostly small and medium size), socks, underwear, toiletries and gift cards to places like Walmart.
Things like water jugs, garden gloves and hats are also being accepted.
Starting at 10 a.m. Hernder Estate Winery will be accepting donations.
Another drop-off at the 318 Ontario Street plaza is accepting donations anytime after noon.
A Go Fund Me campaign to support the displaced workers has been set up here.
