Thousands will be getting their Greek on this long weekend as the 12th annual Niagara Greek Fest begins in St. Catharines.
Things get started this afternoon at 4 p.m. over at the Greek Community of Niagara Centre on Niagara Street.
Alex Digenis says last year around 15,000 people came out to enjoy the sights, sounds, and of course the tastes.
"This festival is about celebrating Greek culture and food. It is free, but we are asking our patrons to show up and to give back. And to give back by offering non-perishable food items that are all going to go back to Community Care."
To help deal with parking headaches there's a shuttle service from Holy Cross High School.
Everything wraps up holiday Monday night at 8 p.m.
