A new Washington report warns disasters like catastrophic wildfires and hurricanes are worsening due to global warming.
The report -- quietly issued Friday -- frequently contradicts U-S President Donald Trump.
The National Climate Assessment was written long before the deadly fires in California this month and before hurricanes Florence and Michael pounded the U-S East Coast and Florida.
It says warming-charged extremes have already become more frequent, intense and widespread.
One study co-author says releasing the report on Black Friday is a transparent attempt by the Trump administration to bury it.
