A private members bill in Alberta has failed to knock the daylights out of the province's bi-yearly time change.
An all-party legislature committee has unanimously rejected a motion to end the change to Daylight Saving Time.
The committee says the bill has merits in terms of health, but there would be too much of an economic impact.
Among its detractors were the province's two National Hockey League teams, who were worried about late start times.
