Addition Elle and Thyme Maternity to close stores

Reitmans is closing 77 Addition Elle and 54 Thyme Maternity stores in Canada.

Reitman's is closing 77 Addition Elle and 54 Thyme Maternity stores in Canada.

The move will result in the loss of about 1400 jobs, 1100 in store and 300 office jobs. 

Last month, the 94-year-old fashion chain announced that it would restructure its operations partly because of COVID-19. 

The stores and their e-commerce websites are slated to close July 18th for Thyme Maternity and August 15th for Addition Elle. 

The company operates two in Niagara both in St. Catharines.
