African Lion Safari says an employee has non-life threatening injuries after incident with an elephant.
Reports came in yesterday indicating that a man in his 30s was airlifted to Hamilton General Hospital after an incident with an elephant.
On Facebook, African Lion Safari posted "Our employee sustained non-life threatening injuries, and our elephant remains with the herd.
A full investigation into the incident is ongoing. We appreciate your concern."
Emergency workers were called to the Cooper Road property in Flamborough around 2:10 p.m.
The Ministry of Labour has been notified of the incident.
Park officials have not released the man's name or any other details about what happened.
