A Hamilton man who is the first person in the country to be tried for the same murder four times, has been found guilty.
A Kitchener jury yesterday finding Robert Badgerow guilty in the 1981 slaying of nursing assistant Diane Werendowicz.
The 23 year old victim, left a bar around midnight in 1981 to walk to her apartment, but she never arrived.
Children playing in a ravine found her body the next day.
It wasn't until 1998 that DNA testing led police to arrest Badgerow and thus began a 35 year legal saga.
