It was a tense afternoon for parents and students at Port Colborne High School.
The school was in lockdown yesterday for a couple hours after reports that there was a firearm on the grounds.
Students were released from school around 5 p.m. and police say the area has been deemed clear and safe.
No firearm has been found and there were no reported physical injuries.
Police say there will be no ongoing impact at the school.
They are still investigating and asking anyone with information to contact police.
Pathstone Mental Health is also reminding parents and students that two of their in-person mental health walk-in clinic's are open today.
They say when dealing with situations, like lockdowns, there can been feelings of elevated anxiety.
