Interim Conservative leader Rona Ambrose is about to announce a change of direction.
Sources tell The Canadian Press that a breakfast speech the longtime Alberta M-P will deliver this morning in Ottawa will be a resignation announcement.
She's expected to announce that she'll be giving up her seat in the House of Commons this summer.
Ambrose has been serving as the temporary party leader since the fall of 2015.
She's already moving out of the Official Opposition leader's residence of Stornoway as the Conservative party's leadership race winds down, with the winner to be declared May 27th.
