For the 26th straight year Labrador retrievers are America's most popular dog breed.
They top the American Kennel Club's rankings for 2016, with German shepherds, golden retrievers, bulldogs and beagles, French bulldogs, poodles, Rottweilers, Yorkshire terriers and boxers rounding out the top 10.
The stats reflect the AKC's 189 recognized breeds, but don't take in popular hybrids like Labradoodles and maltipoos.
The only breed to rank in the top 10 every decade since the AKC's 1880s founding? The beagle.
