Niagara has another employer taking the pledge to provide a living wage - The John Howard Society of Niagara.
The non-profit organization provides community programs in the fields of justice, crime prevention, employment, and education, and employs 70 people with offices in St. Catharines, Welland, and Fort Erie.
The Niagara Poverty Reduction Network defines a 'Living Wage' as the amount workers need to be paid based on the actual costs of living in Niagara.
Last year the Network placed the living wage for the region sat at 17 dollars and 99 cents.
Ontario's current minimum wage is $14 an hour.
