Police are investigating the discovery of a needle found in potatoes bought in Halifax.
They say they received a report Sunday evening that a sharp object was found after the potatoes had been peeled and cooked.
Police say a needle was discovered in the leftover cooked potatoes, but no one was injured.
The bag of potatoes was bought at the Giant Tiger on Dutch Village Road on Nov. 6 and was from P.E.I.
The discovery is the latest potential case of tampering after metal pieces and needles were first discovered in P.E.I. potatoes in 2014. Police have since investigated multiple cases.
A reward has been offered for information leading to an arrest and hundreds of thousands of kilograms of spuds have been recalled.
