The city of Niagara Falls is the latest municipality to issue a warning about door to door salespeople selling water filtration equipment.
The city says they have received complaints about the sales people who say they need to inspect water lines, and hint they are working in conjunction with the city or the province.
They also request personal information about utility accounts.
The city says it has no association with the group, nor does it support or sell water filtration equipment
If a city employees does come to your door, they will provide proper ID and will be driving a vehicle clearly marked City of Niagara Falls.
