Anyone wanting to sell recreational cannabis at private retail stores in Ontario can apply for licences to do so starting today.
The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario is giving people just over 48 hours to file an expression of interest in receiving a license to sell cannabis in a legal storefront.
There are 25 licenses up for grabs, and the government will award them via a lottery this Friday.
There is a 75-dollar fee to submit an expression of interest, and would-be retailers have until Wednesday at noon to apply.
