Municipal crews in Niagara's southern tier are out assessing the damage from last night's wind storm.
Areas along the Lake Erie shore, from Point Abino to the Peace Bridge, were the hardest hit.
Canadian Niagara Power responding to several power outages overnight, affecting a few hundred customers.
As of this morning only a few homes were without power.
Several roads have also been closed in Fort Erie and Port Colborne either as a precaution or due to flooding.
In Fort Erie the following roads were closed as of this morning
• Niagara Parkway From Beatrice St. to Queen St.
• Point Abino from Erie Rd to Gate.
In Port Colborne, the city tweeting out the following road closures last night:
•Elm St at the southern side of Sugarloaf St, restricting access to H.H. Knoll Lakeview Park & Sugarloaf Marina
•Fielden Ave at Steele St, restricting access to the boat ramp and H.H. Knoll Lakeview Park.
