At least 10 people are dead and 100 are injured as wildfires engulf much of northern and southern California.
At least 15 hundred homes and businesses have been destroyed, and authorities expect the numbers to get worse as more information comes to light.
The flames have swallowed up wineries and trailer parks while tearing through tiny rural towns and urban subdivisions.
Taken as a group, the fires are already among the deadliest in the state's history.
