OPP officers expect to reopen the westbound portion of the QEW near Brant St. by 1 p.m. after a deadly crash this morning.
Two women died after a four-vehicle collision just after 5:30 a.m.
Officials say a westbound Mitsubishi crossed into the eastbound lanes and hit an Acura.
The Mitsubishi was then struck by a truck and a fourth vehicle lost control and rolled into the centre ditch.
Both women in the Mitsubishi were killed and three other people were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The eastbound lanes of the QEW in Burlington are expected to remain closed until around 5 p.m.
The investigation is ongoing.
