After police fanned out across the GTA yesterday, we are now hearing that it's back to business as usual.
Around 10:45 p.m. last night, Toronto Police put out a statement saying they were resuming normal operations following earlier unconfirmed information about a 'potential risk to public safety.'
Officials went on to say there will continue to be increased police presence around the Rogers Centre as part of the 2018 downtown security plan.
There has been no official word about the nature of the 'potential risk' at this time.
Our sister station Newstalk 1010 is reporting a police memo floating around suggested the information was related to a possible vehicle ramming attack around the CN Tower.
