A citizens group who filed a court challenge against the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority will be back in court today.
On December 21st, A Better Niagara asked a court to resolve governance issues at the beleaguered agency.
Justice James Ramsay ruled the old Niagara representatives on the NPCA's board of directors were out and the new 12 appointed by Regional Council on December 6th were active board members retroactive to that date.
Hamilton and Halton wanted to speak to the issue, but had inadequate time to advise their lawyers.
The Niagara Region, which has been supportive of the citizen group application, also wanted time to get formal direction from council.
All outstanding issues are expected to be spoken to in court today in Welland at 10 a.m.
It's not clear who is representing the NPCA at today's hearing.
