There's word teacher contract talks are in trouble before they even get started.
Bell Media has learned, the union and school board associations can't agree on what should be negotiated centrally and locally, so the matter is going to a labour board hearing on August 22nd.
The head of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation, Harvy Bischof says that means there is no chance they will reach a deal before the school year begins.
But he says that doesn't mean there will be any disruptions as long as there is good faith constructive bargaining.
The current contract for teachers expires August 31st.
