Grab the chair, the towel, and the sunscreen because today is the day beaches in St. Catharines officially open.
Lakeside Park and Sunset beaches will be groomed and washrooms opened.
But St. Catharines Muncipal Works Director Darrell Smith says there will be two major changes.
There will be no groups larger than 10 and the groups will be separated from each other.
He adds social distancing rules will be enforced.
Bay Beach in Fort Erie also opens today but only for Fort Erie residents and and short term rental operators who have picked up a season pass.
Nickel Beach in Port Colborne also opens today but there will be limits on the number of people allowed in.
The city also reminds visitors, beach front parking costs $15 during the week and $20 on the weekend and holiday Monday's for Niagara residents.
For non Niagara residents the price climbs to $50.
After paying the fee, visitors can then walk onto the beach for free.
