A disturbing incident caught on camera on Brock University Campus from over the weekend.
Niagara Regional Police are working with campus security officers following a beating on Saturday night.
A mother shared videos of the incident on Facebook saying her son and his friend were attacked on campus and people stood around and filmed the incident.
She says her son was knocked unconscious and left with a broken jaw.
She doesn't believe the suspects are Brock students, and she's hoping someone has a clear video of the incident.
Niagara police are also hoping for a better video of the incident and are asking witnesses to call them.
The mother says she sent her son to school to get an education, and now he will be eating through a straw for the next eight weeks.
Brock University's Interim Provost and Vice-President Greg Finn has released the following statement:
“Brock University is aware of the incident that happened on Saturday night involving our students and a group of non-Brock individuals. Campus Security is investigating along with the Niagara Regional Police. Brock does not in any way condone this sort of violence. In addition to the ongoing investigation, we have reached out to the victim and his family and have offered our full support in his recovery.”
