A new program from Hospice Niagara asks people to think about what matters most in life and start an open conversation about death.
Residents are being invited to share their bucket list wishes this weekend as part of an interactive display at the Pen Centre called 'Before I Die.'
"What are the things that bring your life meaning, and how do you start make meaningful memories now?," Hospice Niagara's Mahoganie Hines explains the idea behind the display. "So it's not about just dying, it's about living until you die."
The wall will go up near the Arlies store on Saturday with a special ceremony at 10 a.m.
The wall was inspired by a similar project in New Orleans, where an artist created the first wall as part of her grieving process.
Staff from Hospice Niagara will be on site to answer questions and share information about resources available in Niagara.
Hospice Niagara offers free services to help people continue to enjoy life after getting a diagnosis, navigate the end of life journey, and lead families through the grieving process.
