The Welland SPCA sending out thanks to the community and their animal welfare partners for help after a Welland couple surrendered 146 cats.
The Welland Humane Society says the cats are currently being spayed or neutered and are getting ready for a big adoption event this weekend.
The cats will be available for adoption tomorrow until the 18th at the Petsmart in St. Catharines and Niagara Falls.
Some of the cats will also be available at the Seaway Mall adoption centre.
The Welland SPCA's executive director John Greer also posting on Facebook, a big thank you to the Fort Erie Humane Society for helping out, taking in 30 cats and Peterborough Humane for taking another 11 felines.
