Canada's longest running child safety program is in trouble.
Block Parent officials sending out a release saying the organization is facing a serious funding shortage.
They are asking for financial help from corporate partners and individuals to help continue the delivery of the community safety program.
According to the program's President, Linda Patterson, “Not only do we continue to play a critical role in keeping children safe but as our population ages we also provide an important safety resource for seniors and others as well.”
The Niagara chapter ended its safe home program earlier this year.
Canada's Block Parent program started in 1968.
