Too many boaters are cruising into the Niagara Falls danger zone.
An American police marine unit patrolling the upper Niagara River says they see too many boats drifting too close to the brink of the Falls.
New York State Park Police Lt. Clyde Doty tells WGRZ-TV in Buffalo that too many people ignore the buoys and warning signs on the river. The no boating zone begins about three miles from the brink of the falls but so far this summer there have been 10 incidents involving boaters venturing into dangerous waters. Some were even stopped near Goat Island, located at the brink.
