A major book-based fundraiser is returning to the Gale Centre to help women and children in crisis.
Last night, Niagara Falls Council approved waiving the community centre's rental fee as Women's Place plans their 42nd Book Riot.
Last year's book sale was record breaking, bringing in $70,000.
The funds support Women's Place programming and shelters, including Nova House in Niagara Falls and Serenity Place in Welland.
Last year alone, 310 women and children stayed at the shelters.
The Book Riot will happen in June.
