U-S officials say a Brampton man has pleaded guilty to trying to smuggle hundreds of kilograms of cocaine from the United States into Canada.
The U-S Attorney's Office says 47-year-old Harinder Dhaliwal faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison to a maximum of life.
They say Dhaliwal admitted to being part of an international conspiracy that trafficked more than three thousand kilograms of cocaine, most of it through western New York.
The drugs were hidden in tractor-trailers that contained false compartments within the floor of vehicles.
