After a 12 day Christmas break, the IceDogs return to action with three games in three days to close out 2016. First up, a trip to Barrie Thursday night, Friday it's a battle in Mississauga and Saturday it's back home for a New Year's Eve game with Kingston.
David Bell's team sits five points out of top spot in the Central Division, with Thursday's game # 34 being the halfway mark of the regular season. The Dogs have collected three of a possible four points versus the Colts this season, losing a 5-4 shootout game at home in October and winning 5-1 at the Molson Centre one month ago.
Mississauga holds a two point advantage over Niagara in the standings. That difference is reflected in a pair of overtime losses to the Steelheads this season.
The New Year's Eve Meridian Centre matchup with Kingston marks the first time the IceDogs have seen the Frontenacs since the home opener. The dogs will look to avenge a 4-0 loss in that game. Don't forget to bring your skates Saturday as the annual post-game skate with the players.
610 CKTB has the action covered with a Thursday pre-game at 7, a Friday start of 6:30 and special New Year's Eve pre-game time of 5:30.
