Police in Manchester, U.K., confirm 19 people dead, and around 50 injured after reports of an explosion at Manchester Arena, where American singer Ariana Grande performed Monday night.
Reports say there were two explosions which contained nails.
The loud bangs were reportedly heard after the conclusion of the Grande performance.
Video shot inside the arena shows concertgoers screaming as they make their ways to the venue’s exits.
There are 19 confirmed casualties, including a large number of young girls.
Sources say one person was detained in a vehicle but it is not clear what if any involvement that potential suspect may have had in the attack
Emergency response personnel are on the scene.
A representative for the singer has reported that Grande is safe.
