The man who threw a beer can onto the field during a Blue Jays playoff game has been given a conditional discharge.
Ken Pagan cannot attend MLB games for the next 12 months, and has to do 100 hours of community service.
The conditional discharge also means Pagan will not have a conviction on his record.
The incident occurred at a playoff game last October, Pagan threw the beer can as a Baltimore Orioles player was about to catch a fly ball during the seventh inning.
Court was told the beer can narrowly missed the Orioles player, caused a significant disruption in the game and created concerns for player safety.
The Crown says Pagan's crime was a single thoughtless act, but it had local, national and international impacts.
Ken Pagan pleaded guilty to mischief in connection with the incident last month.
