Las Vegas police now say more than 58 people were killed and well over 515 others were wounded in a mass shooting at an outdoor country music festival.
The gunman, 64-year-old Stephen Paddock of Mesquite, Nevada perched high on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino and fired into the crowd, sending thousands of frantic concert-goers screaming and running for their lives.
Police think he killed himself before they burst into the room and say Paddock had at least 10 weapons.
It is the deadliest mass shooting in modern U-S history.
Monique Dumas from British Columbia says she was six rows from the stage when she thought she heard a bottle breaking, and then a burst of popping sounds that she thought might have been fireworks.
She says there was four to five minutes of gunfire and describes the scene as ``organized chaos'' as everyone fled.
