Police say the group then went to a "location" in Thorold where she was allegedly sexually assaulted.
Today, members of the NRPS Sexual Assault Unit were assisted by School Resource Officers and uniform officers from Niagara Falls as five males were arrested.
At the time of the incident all the suspects were under the age of 18.
Their identities cannot be released under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act of Canada.
The NRP has charged four 17 year olds and one 16 year old with sexual assault and party to the offence of sexual assault.
All the arrested were transported to the NRPS Central Holding in St. Catharines to be held pending a bail hearing on October 13, 2016 at the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse.
