A new development breaking ground today in St. Catharines.
Seasons Retirement Community is going up at the old Hotel Dieu site overlooking Twelve Mile Creek.
St. Catharines Mayor Walter Sendzik says, “The development will help meet the growing need for a variety of housing options for older adults and families who want to stay close to home and have access to excellent care, as well as bringing new jobs and employment into the downtown. It’s exciting to work together with Seasons on this project.”
Brian York, Director of Economic Development and Government Relations for the City of St. Catharines adds, “Seasons new development highlights the opportunities available to invest in St. Catharines as a growing urban centre with a vibrant downtown, renewed healthcare facilities and a skilled workforce. We look forward to working with Seasons to bring this latest expansion to life.”
The facility will feature 143 suites including independent apartments, assisted living, and memory care.
Construction is expected to be complete in 2020.
