The Islamic State is claiming responsibility for the Danforth shooting in Toronto.
Reuters reports the group's AMAQ news agency has released a statement saying the attacker "was a soldier of the Islamic State and carried out the attack in response to calls to target the citizens of the coalition countries."
No evidence has been provided to support the claim.
Unsubstantiated claims like this one are common practice for the terror group.
