Two crew members on a flight suffered minor injuries after an incident in the sky Monday morning.
Our sister station, CFRB is reporting that 54 people were on board a Porter Airlines flight from Ottawa to Toronto on Monday morning, when the plane suddenly took evasive action over Lake Ontario.
The Transportation Safety Board says there was a 'risk of a collision' with an object in nine thousand feet in the air.
It happened around 7:30 on Monday, not far from Pickering.
Two crew members suffered minor injuries, but they've since been relased from hospital.
"It's involving a Porter Aircraft and an unidentified object, likely an unmanned aerial vehicle, like a drone." says Julie Leroux, a spokesperson for the Transportation Safety Board.
The plane did manage to land safely at the Billy Bishop Airport, without incident.
None of the passengers on board were hurt.
