A Niagara Falls man known as the "water guy" has died after being assaulted last week.
52 year old Tony Paonessa was the victim of a serious assault with a weapon on Tuesday January 29th at his home the area of Huggins Street and Gainsborough Ave.
The father of three, who well known for delivering water was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Paonessa passed away on Friday February 1st.
Police say he had an altercation with a 17 year old male youth who was known to him.
Officers have now charged the youth with second degree murder.
He cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
This marks the third homicide in Niagara in 2019 after a murder in Grimsby on Friday morning which left a 31 year old woman dead, and a St.Catharines homicide on January 5th.
