Niagara will move into Stage 3 of Ontario's reopening on Friday.
Premier Doug Ford confirmed that Niagara and six other regions will move into the phase on Friday, but Toronto, Peel and Windsor are still excluded.
Nearly all businesses and public spaces can reopen in Stage 3, with public health and workplace safety restrictions in place, while some high-risk venues and activities will remain closed until they can safely resume operations.
Indoor and outdoor gathering limits will also be increased to as many as 50 people indoors and as many as 100 people outdoors.
Here is a list of places NOT able to open yet:
-Amusement parks and water parks
-Buffet-style food services
-Dancing at restaurants and bars, other than by performers hired by the establishment who follow specific requirements
-Overnight stays at camps for children
-Private karaoke rooms
-Prolonged or deliberate contact while playing sports
-Saunas, steam rooms, bath houses and oxygen bars
-Table games at casinos and gaming establishments
Physical distancing remains a requirement for all people of Ontario that are not from the same household or social circle.
Niagara, Hamilton, Durham, Halton, Haldimand-Norfolk, Lambton and York regions will be given the green light to enter Stage 3 this Friday.
