Niagara is remaining in stage one of the reopening Ontario's economy, but you will be able to gather in groups of 10 as of this Friday.
Places of worship across Ontario, including Niagara, will be able to resume services this Friday, but with only 30% capacity.
Effective Friday, June 12, 2020 at 12:01 a.m., the province will increase the limit on social gatherings from five to 10 people across the province, regardless of whether a region has moved to Stage 2. Additionally, all places of worship in Ontario will also be permitted to open with physical distancing in place and attendance limited to no more than 30 per cent of the building capacity to ensure the safety of worshippers.
Premier Doug Ford made the announcement this afternoon, saying most areas of the province can move onto stage 2 of reopening stores and businesses, but Niagara, Hamilton, Toronto and some other communities will have to wait at least a week longer to open patios, hair salons, malls, and beaches.
The rest of Ontario will be able to move to stage two this Friday June 12th.
Ford says they are taking a regional approach to reopening.
There will be no travel restrictions though, so people can still drive to other areas to visit malls and get their haircut if they choose to do so.
Here is the list of businesses and services permitted to reopen with proper health and safety measures in place in regions entering Stage 2 include: (remember Niagara is excluded from this- we stay in phase one)
