A shooting in the nation's capitol this morning has left people with 'many injuries' and one person has been pronounced dead.
Ottawa Police say the injuries were reported after a shooting in the central part of the city on Wednesday at 7:30 a.m.
It happened on Gilmour Street between Kent and Bank Streets.
Ottawa paramedics report they've taken three people to hospital following the shooting.
The three suffered gunshot wounds and were in serious condition.
Ottawa police tweeted that they were responding to the incident on Gilmour Street in a residential area.
They urged people to avoid the area.
Catherine McKenna, the member of Parliament for the area, said she was aware of the shooting and said her thoughts are with the injured.
CFRA says this is not an active shooter situation.
