A bombshell from an Ontario MPP regarding what she knew about her former party leader.
Ottawa area PC MPP Lisa MacLeod says she went to the PC campaign team after hearing allegations about Patrick Brown.
MacLeod tells CTV News that she took concerns about Brown's behaviour to the team before Christmas.
She says "lots of people" knew about the allegations.
“I am not a police officer, I am not a private investigator but certainly when I heard issues about women I would bring those forward,” she said. “People would tell me things so I would float it up the flag pole.”
She says she was told by the team that the allegations were unfounded.
She says she was not shocked, in fact she was relieved to see that Brown had resigned.
The party's former president Richard Ciano admitted to our brother station, NEWSTALK 1010 there had been whispers about Brown's alleged behaviour for awhile, but did not go into specifics.
Right now a caucus meeting is being held to select a new interim leader.
