While the Premier said last week he would provide an update on the future of the school year sometime this week, we are getting word the government is preparing to extend the province's state of emergency to May 31st.
The legislature will sit tomorrow to vote on the bill to extend the emergency order beyond its May 12th expiry date.
Despite the emergency order the Ford government has started to ease restrictions.
Retail stores are being allowed to offer curb-side pickups to customers.
The government is also beginning to open provincial parks today, with access for walkers, hikers, cyclists and bird-watchers.
