The Toronto Maple Leafs' new GM has a Niagara connection.
Kyle Dubas graduated from Brock University's Sport Management program in 2007. This morning Maple Leafs President Brendan Shanahan announced Dubas would become the 17th GM in the team's history.
Dubas has been working as the Leafs' Assistant General Manager since 2014. Before that he spent three years as the GM for the OHL's Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. When he was hired he was the second youngest OHL GM in history.
He was also named as one of Forbes Magazine's Top 30 Under 30 in Sports in 2015.
