Some tense moments on the St. Catharines' campus of Brock University last night.
An online post suggesting an active shooter was on campus.
But when police arrived at around 8 o'clock they found two students suffering stab wounds and another injured in the assault.
Constable Phil Gavin says its believed a pellet gun was involved in the attack but no one was shot with it.
Police say three Brock University students in their 20's were assaulted by two suspects around 8 last night.
Gavin says they believe the attack was targeted and not random.
All three students were taken to hospital treated and released.
Police are searching for two men of east Indian decent who fled the scene in a car before police arrived.
Both suspects are described as men in their 20's, possible East Indian descent.
A getaway car was used by the suspects however there is no definitive description for release at this time.
