A research project helmed by a Brock University professor is looking at how the province should handle animal cruelty investigations.
Chair of Brock's Labour Studies Department Kendra Coulter is launching a survey to collect feedback from the public on possible enforcement models and other related issues.
The research comes less than a week after an Ontario Superior Court judge found the enforcement powers held by the Ontario SPCA were unconstitutional, and said the province must re-write the laws governing the organization.
The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and can be found online at stopanimalcruelty.ca until the end of January.
