Baseball fans are invited to watch the Brock Badgers take on the Ontario Blue Jays as part of a new tradition.
The first annual Hometown Baseball game will be held at 1 p.m. this upcoming Sunday, September 16th at George Taylor Field, as the university faces the top amateur baseball team.
The free event is part of a push to bring more Brock sporting events to the community this year.
"We're excited. Our players are really looking forward to this," head coach Marc LePage says via a release. "This is the game to come to for fans looking for great live baseball as the summer season winds down and we gear up for regular season play. We want to showcase our team to the community and thank them for being such a large part of our program's success over the years. The crowd and the festive atmosphere will give the players that surge of adrenaline."
The first 100 kids will get a free Badgers baseball hat.
