The Catholic Diocese of Buffalo announcing a priest has resigned after a sexual abuse complaint involving a minor.
The diocese says the Reverand Robert Yetter has stepped down from a parish in Swormville after Buffalo Bishop Richard Malone asked for his resignation.
But Bishop Malone is embroiled in a scandal of his own.
Malone on Sunday refused calls that he hand in his own resignation for his handling of a sex abuse scandal.
In March the diocese released a list of 42 Buffalo area priests facing sex abuse allegations.
The Bishop saying "the shepherd does not desert the flock" in difficult times.
Instead he says he is appointing a task force made up of clergy, lay people and elected officials to review how sexual abuse claims from adults are handled.
