In response to growing criticism, Buffalo's mayor has announced several changes to police practices following last Thursday's incident involving an elderly protester.
Mayor Byron Brown says the city will no longer arrest people for low-level crimes like marijuana possession and make it easier for the public to view police body camera video.
It's all part of what the mayor called a "restorative" model of policing, rather than enforcement.
The city also plans to replace its police Emergency Response Team with a new Public Protection Unit after two members of the former unit were caught pushing a 75-year-old protester to the ground where he was left bleeding from his head.
