The full closure of the Burgoyne Bridge has been extended to December 23rd.
The closure began December 9th, and the bridge was originally scheduled to reopen on the 18th.
These closures are required in order to complete installation of the cable supports and suspend the bridge from the structural arch.
Pedestrian access across the bridge will be maintained for the duration of the closure.
Vehicle traffic will be detoured via Regional Road 81 (St Paul Street), Louth Street, Regional Road 77 (Fourth Avenue), and Ontario Street during the closure.
