A woman who is already before the courts for giving pigs water, is reportedly back in custody.
With her trial on recess until November 1st, Anita Krajnc was reportedly arrested at the scene of a tractor trailer crash in Burlington Wednesdau morning.
The crash involved a lone big rig carrying about 180 pigs to the Fearmans Pork plant.
Police closed a section of Harvester Road and Appleby Line for several hours while they cleaned up the scene.
Following the crash protestors showed up, and that's when police say one was charged with obstructing police.
In a video posted to Twitter, protesters can be seen holding signs and yelling “justice for animals.”
At one point, a female protester is led toward a cruiser in handcuffs by police. Another protester can be heard shouting, “We love you Anita.”
A total of 42 pigs were either killed in the crash or had to be put down because of their injuries.
